Kim Hyun Joong gave his fans an early Christmas present. He said, "I practiced hard on this. I'm going to try my best so I hope you can at least see that." With a wave of his hands and the first thumping beats of Rainism, the crowd went nuts. He did a great job despite his modest sell.
Rain already preparing for another movie in America?
After completing the Hollywood movie, 'Ninja Assassin,' Rain is all ready to star in yet another American film.
On December 7th, Rain flew back to his home-country Korea through Incheon International Airport. With many reporters waiting for him, Rain spoke to them and allowed for a short interview session: "I was worried about my first starring role, but I am very pleased with the results."
Ninja Assassin ranked 6th in box office ratings during its first week. However, it fell down to 8th the following week. This did not disappoint Rain though since he believes that "as long as it was within 10th place, I feel it is a success and I felt that the audience enjoyed it."
Later in the interview session, he also mentioned that he has good news for the future. "The next movie will also be a Hollywood production and I'll be able to give you guys more information come next month," Rain said smiling.
After this movie, many doors in the American entertainment have opened up for Rain. Rain who stars in the new American blockbuster movie, 'Ninja Assassian' has been appearing on international shows in order to promote his move. However, in a Taiwanese interview with Yahoo, Rain needed to retake many shots due to a lack of understanding of questions that were asked.
Chinese information site "Onbao" reported that Taiwanese media printed an article about Rain's lacking English skills. According to Onbao, Taiwanese media said that Rain's English is lacking even after filming 2 Hollywood movies. In a recent English interview, according to the Taiwanese media, they had to ask the same question 7 times and he barely understood it and answered with a single phrase. They said Rain had private English lessons for two years but we didn't know it was this bad.
However, on the 13th, Rain came out on Fox TV "Good Day New York" and showed off his good English skills. He answered the questions really well and on the 10th, during the CNN interview, the interviewer said that his English is a lot better than Jackie Chan.
