SS501 & 2NE1 will not be attending the Melon Music Awards
  Popular idol groups SS501 and 2NE1 withdrew from attending the Melon Music Awards.
DSP Entertainment, SS501's production company, had stated in an phone interview with The Daily that the group's Asian Tour schedule would not allow them to attend. Fellow DSP entertainment group, Kara, is also "unlikely to attend" but it has not yet been confirmed.
YG Entertainment, 2NE1's production company, has also revealed through telephone interview with The Daily that "2NE1 cannot attend. Big Bang has also not confirmed their attendance."
While SS501, 2NE1, Kara, and Big Bang have either stated that they will be attending or have hinted at the slim possibility of not attending this year's Melong Music Awards, we can still look forward to the verified announcements by SM Entertainment who has already stated that SNSD & Super Junior will be attending. There is still a lot to look forward to for this year's Melon Music Awards, which recognizes active artists and released songs.
