In October's issue of Color Magazine, choc7 sits down for an exclusive interview and recollects their childhood days of being pranksters while stating 3 important items that they need close to them in order to feel safe.
Normally, are you a mischievous person? Or are you a person who is always being fooled? From what you remember, what has the most exaggerated prank thing been?
Ah Ben: If I’m with a girl, then usually I would be the one being fooled. From what I remember, the most exaggerated prank must’ve been GuiGui’s “Child Worshiping Buddha”, it really nearly made me jump, I thought to myself how can this girl bump me in that place, it was too over.
WeiYu: I used to be a pretty mischievous person, always trying to trick my classmates and teachers. My most biggest prank was when I poured water on my examiner. (WAH~ I don’t think this was a prank anymore! I must’ve had a lot of guts to do that!)
XiaoLu: To be honest, from young til now I haven’t had much to do with pranks but now, I should be the ones usually pranked. (XiaoLu laughs and points at LiQuan) The most funniest prank was during one of our album's recording. we received a very funny gift, everyone was so stunned.
XiaoMa: Right now, I don’t really like pranks, but when I was younger, I would go to Xi Men Ding (a place near Taipei) and purposely place a fake 1000NT on the road and then stand off to the side to see peoples' reactions.
MaoDi: I don’t have much experiences with pranks, I would always be a spectator since I don’t have a lot of guts. I am scared that there will be a bad ending. Because of this, I don’t dare to prank anyone and I am also very afraid of being pranked. The most exaggerated prank I’ve seen is when a classmate took out someone else’s hair gel from their drawer, spat saliva into it, then added some medication powder and mixed it all up.
LiQuan: haha~I’m certainly a mischievous person, always pranking people (all the choc7 members all call me the “pranking king” I’m number 1 in the pranking world). To be honest, I only do harmless, funny small pranks, just to make a joke. Like when XiaoLu is sleeping, I would take a photo of him with his mouth wide opened. Then when he wakes ups, I would pretend to be taking a photo with him then show him the photo I took of him when he was sleeping. Then looking at his reaction is quite entertaining.
YeShou: I think I should be the type of person that is always getting pranked on. July on the Chinese Lunar Calendar, in the middle of the night XiaoMa was taking me home, then I looked at myself in the mirror reflection and spoke to XiaoMa for a while. Then when I looked at the mirror again, there was a picture of a ghost. It scared me so much that I couldn’t say a word, I still had to act calm. In the end I found out that it was WeiYu who stuck the picture onto the mirror on purpose to scare me!
Everyday, what are 3 things that you have to keep by your side, if you don’t have it, you won’t feel safe?
WeiYu: Cell Phone, Wallet and Sweat Shirt. Without my sweat shirt I will feel very cold.
XiaoLu: Mine’s very typical. Wallet, keys and Cell Phone.
XiaoMa: Other than the typical stuff that I need to bring, I would also bring my earring, PSP and socks because I like to change socks
MaoDi: Hat, Buddhist necklace, my wallet which keeps my amulet. If I don’t bring these 3 things, I would not be able to concentrate.
LiQuan: Keys; Once when I was young, I had forgotten to bring my keys and I sat outside the door for a long time, so from then on the most important thing is to bring keys. Also I must bring my music player and a watch. Because I’m not good at time management so therefore I have to bring a watch around all the time to make sure I do things ontime.
YeShou: Ipod, wallet and a public transport card. All these things are linked, if I don’t bring my public transport card then I will have to usse my wallet and pay for public transport and when I’m on public transport, I need to listen to my iPod. These are the three things that I need to bring when I leave the door.
